EXPERIMENTELLE GESTALTUNG NEUER TECHNOLOGIEN / PROF. RALF BAECKERThe Seminar Project Preparation consists of two alternating and interwoven parts: Things with Ralf Baecker and Theory with Andrea Sick.
Things: We will do hands-on Workshops and Experiments, talk about new and old technologies, exchange thoughts and ideas, bring things and have a closer look at them, share existing projects in art and design, share knowledge and visit Exhibitions.

- 07.05.2018 Bing a Thing Bing an object/thing, code, text, materials or an exhiting design/art project that inspires, touches or facinates you. (It can be of personal of general interrest) Share your “thing” with the others. (Each of you has 5 minutes to present) Afterwards we build groups to continue discussion.

Theory: Writing a Text. Performing a Text. ….Reading
As an artist or / and designer you wish or have to write texts: Proposals descriptions for your work/idea manifestos Interviews Instructions Reflections/Essay Poetic Writing
In this seminar we will practice test writing and find new ways to create a text.
In this seminar: You will write texts. They can be written individually or collaboratively. You will give and get feedback.
We will read and discuss written texts., examples from other artists and designers.
We will ask: Whathappens when genres collide? In this seminar we will bring together several terms often thought to be well-defined—including “poetry,” “prose,” “theater,” “politics,”, „description“, „manifesto“ and “essay”. Through experiments in writing, reading, and collaborating, re-narrate their meanings and implications.
In a second step we will experiment with different possibilities to present and perform the text, you have written.
